TheatreCraft Online is for anyone aged 16+ who is interested in an off-stage career in theatre. You can be at any stage in your career or training, or just be wondering whether a career in theatre is for you.  

If you’re exploring a career in theatre, the workshops available will help you really dig into the different roles. If you are already settled in your chosen career, you may find the workshops interesting and that they open a new door for you. 

We’re offering three types of sessions: Starting Out, Stepping Up and Events For All.

• Starting Out is for individuals who are exploring theatre as a potential career and want to learn more.
• Stepping Up is for those committed to a career in theatre, who are undergoing training or have completed work experience or an internship and are ready to take the next step.
• Events For All are open to everyone, no matter their career stage or experience level.

Sessions are marked by their relevant colour.

TheatreCraft Online will take place on Tuesday 10 February 2026.

All attendees must ensure they have entered the waiting room at least 5 minutes prior to the session start time. This is to ensure the session can begin on time. More sessions will be released soon!

1.00 – 1.45pm:

2.00 – 2.45pm:

• Presenting Your CV for Backstage Theatre
• Costume and Character
• Building a Career in Theatre Sound
• Sustainability: How a Producing Theatre Can Aim for Net Zero

3.00 – 3.45pm:

• Creative Industry Apprenticeships
• Your First Steps Backstage – Why Drama School Could Be Your Best Route
• Writing: The Industry

4.00 – 4.45pm:

• Squiggly Careers in Theatre

You can create your account today and be automatically added to the events communications via our e-mailing list.

Bookings for sessions open at 4pm on Wednesday 21 January. You simply need to log into your account, select your chosen event and book your free place. 

Once you’ve booked, the links to your chosen session will be sent to you by email on Monday 9 February.

Zoom has built-in automated live captioning, and the host’s camera will always be on to enable lip reading.
