Information for Teachers & School Groups

TheatreCraft is a great opportunity for young people to explore the many different careers available across the theatre industry.

If you’re a teacher, careers adviser or work with young people, here’s what you need to know about attending TheatreCraft 2026.

Who Is TheatreCraft For?

TheatreCraft is designed for 16–30 year olds who are interested in exploring further education, training and career opportunities within the theatre industry.

The day has a particular focus on the huge variety of off-stage careers that make theatre happen, giving young people opportunities to learn more about different roles, meet people working in the industry and develop their understanding of possible routes into a theatre career.

Through talks, workshops, Q&As, backstage tours, demonstrations and our Exhibitor Marketplace, attendees can explore their options and hear directly from theatre professionals, training providers and organisations from across the industry.

Can Students Under 16 Attend?

TheatreCraft is for attendees aged 16–30.

The programme and content of the day have been specifically developed for this age group, with sessions focused on further education, training, entering the industry and developing a career in theatre.

For this reason, we’re unable to accommodate students under the age of 16 at TheatreCraft26.

Bringing a School or College Group?

We’re delighted to welcome students from schools and colleges to TheatreCraft.

If you would like a group of your students to attend, we encourage each student to book as an individual attendee.

We also encourage students to sign up to the TheatreCraft 2026 mailing list so they receive the latest event updates, programme announcements and important information about when and how to book. The sign-up form can be found at the end of this page.

Many of our workshops, talks and tours have limited capacities and are expected to be popular. To make access to these opportunities as fair as possible for everyone attending TheatreCraft, we’re unable to reserve blocks of places in individual sessions for school or college groups.

Booking individually also means students can explore the programme and choose the sessions most relevant to their own interests and career ambitions, creating their own TheatreCraft experience.

Teachers and group leaders can still support students in planning their visit and deciding which opportunities may be most useful to them.
