Right at the entrance of the rich and busy marketplace, we meet Maddie, associate editor at Nick Hern Books, one of the main theatre publishing companies. It was their first time at TheaterCraft!
With a big smile on her face, Maddie tells us more about the company: “We publish the best of new contemporary plays in the UK and Ireland, we are also supporting theatremakers alongside their first night of their professional run. More than that, Maddie also explains that they license them, “meaning that if they want to be put on by students, drama groups, amateur companies, we license the right to do that”.
