At TheatreCraft, we’re passionate about opening doors to the many exciting careers in theatre. From the spotlight on stage to the creativity behind the scenes, we want young people to see that their talents, ideas, and passions have a place in this world. We aim to inspire, inform, and show that a career in theatre isn’t just a dream – it’s a real, achievable path.

We were pleased to return to the Technicians Gallery of the Science Museum from the 7 – 10 July 2026. Young people took part in practical demonstrations covering:

• Operating a lighting desk
• Using a follow-spot
• Generating sound effects on a sound board
• Controlling video projection using multiple projectors
• Getting to grips with flying and rigging
• Learning more about stage management with a live demonstration
