Each year the Almeida Theatre reaches over 7000 people through it’s free-to-access participation programme. From For Free festivals, Artist Development Programmes, work in schools and more, their team works to make the Almeida a creative home for the local Islington community whilst also supporting the next generation of young artists.
The Almeida makes brave new work that asks big questions: of plays, of theatre and of the world around us. Recent productions include A Streetcar Named Desire, Patriots, Spring Awakening, and Tammy Faye.
They also offer FREE programmes for young artists and the local community, including Young Producers, Youth Advisory Board, Young Designer & Technicians, and a Young Company for actors.
Additionally their Almeida For Free festivals include masterclasses with leading creatives, and a free performance exclusively for those aged 25 and under.
