SUMMARY:Producing vs General Management
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Information: \nEver wondered what really goes on behind the curtain at one of the world’s most iconic theatres? Join Shakespeare’s Globe for an inspiring and revealing session about life at the heart of a world-class arts organisation. In this workshop\, Angie and Tamsin will share: What a General Manager actually does; what it means to be a Producer; their own career journeys — and how you can get started; the different types of General Management across the industry; how GMs and Producers collaborate with each other and wider teams; what it’s really like to be a GM or Senior Producer at Shakespeare’s Globe. You’ll leave with practical insights\, insider tips and a clearer picture of the paths into these fascinating roles. They’ll finish with an open Q&A\, so you can put your own questions to Angie and Tamsin! \nThis session will be hosted by Angie Fullman (General Manager\, Shakespeare’s Globe) and Tamsin Mehta (Senior Producer\, Shakespeare’s Globe). \n\nHow to book:  \nBookings open at 12pm on Monday 19 October. \nTo find out how to book\, sign up to the TheatreCraft 2026 mailing list using the ‘Stay up to date’ pop-up in the bottom-left corner of this page. \nSubscribers will receive booking information and instructions on Friday 16 October\, followed by the link to book when bookings open at 12pm on Monday 19 October. \nAlready signed up? You don’t need to do anything – we’ll email you everything you need to know. \n\nIn-Person Waiting List: \nIf you aren’t able to book a place in advance\, you can join the ‘on the day’ waiting list at the workshop venue.
