DESCRIPTION:Workshop Information: \nEver wondered how a sketch becomes a giant set\, a realistic building or a completely impossible-looking world on stage? Join S.A.S Works for a behind-the-scenes look at the world of scenic construction. Discover how scenic teams turn creative ideas into something real\, from the first drawing to the finished build\, with stories\, photos and examples from projects we’ve worked on. We’ll explore the materials\, techniques and problem solving that go into making scenery\, and what it’s really like working in the industry. The session will finish with a Q&A\, giving you the chance to ask questions about scenic construction\, careers and getting into the industry \nThis session will be hosted by Sam Stuart\, CEO of S.A.S Works. \n\nHow to book:  \nBookings open at 12pm on Monday 19 October. \nTo find out how to book\, sign up to the TheatreCraft 2026 mailing list using the ‘Stay up to date’ pop-up in the bottom-left corner of this page. \nSubscribers will receive booking information and instructions on Friday 16 October\, followed by the link to book when bookings open at 12pm on Monday 19 October. \nAlready signed up? You don’t need to do anything – we’ll email you everything you need to know. \n\nIn-Person Waiting List:  \nIf you aren’t able to book a place in advance\, you can join the ‘on the day’ waiting list at the workshop venue. This is for any places that become available due to last-minute cancellations or no-shows. \nSimply come to the specified venue and a volunteer will direct you to the waiting list queue. Places will be offered on a first-come\, first-served basis\, and joining the waiting list does not guarantee entry.
