SUMMARY:Engaging Young People and Communities in Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Information: \nEach year the Almeida Theatre reaches over 7000 people through its free-to-access participation programme. From For Free Festivals\, Almeida Every Child\, to Artist Development Programmes and more\, their team works to make the Almeida a creative home for the local Islington community whilst supporting the next generation of young artists. \nJoin Almeida Schools Producer Seb Gardner\, and explore how to devise creative\, responsive\, and bespoke participatory projects. Get practical experience in programming events\, learn about outreach and partnership building\, and develop skills as a creative facilitator. \nThis session will be hosted by Seb Gardner\, Schools Producer at the Almeida Theatre. \n\nHow to book:  \nBookings open at 12pm on Monday 19 October. \nTo find out how to book\, sign up to the TheatreCraft 2026 mailing list using the ‘Stay up to date’ pop-up in the bottom-left corner of this page. \nSubscribers will receive booking information and instructions on Friday 16 October\, followed by the link to book when bookings open at 12pm on Monday 19 October. \nAlready signed up? You don’t need to do anything – we’ll email you everything you need to know. \n\nIn-Person Waiting List: \nIf you aren’t able to book a place in advance\, you can join the ‘on the day’ waiting list at the workshop venue. This is for any places that become available due to last-minute cancellations or no-shows. \nSimply come to the specified venue and a volunteer will direct you to the waiting list queue. Places will be offered on a first-come\, first-served basis\, and joining the waiting list does not guarantee entry.
