This workshop is focussed on providing a foundation of practical expertise and developing those skills with a technical, collaborative and creative outlook. Get hands-on experience rigging, flying, follow spotting and programming in this iconic West End venue! Work in a team to compose a short theatrical sequence of your own right on the stage of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera. Whether you have some experience or are a complete beginner, this is an opportunity to get stuck in, pull the ropes and pick the brains of LW Theatres’ professionals.
This workshop is accessible via several sets of stairs, and includes a narrow walkway across the stage. There is a lift available to the top level of the theatre, however several steps will still need to be taken, and attendees will need to be confident in walking the narrow walkway above the stage.
Booking Rules: Please book no more than two workshops or tours, plus one Main Stage Event. This will allow you to get to sessions on time and explore our Exhibitor Marketplace. Due to extremely limited space, parents must drop you off at the venue and pick you up at the end. Parents are not able to join you unless you have booked an essential companion due to access requirements.
In Person Waiting List: If the RSVP for this event is closed, you will be able to join the ‘on the day’ waitlist which will operate at the session venue in case of any last minute cancellations. Just come to the venue and a volunteer will direct you to where you need to queue. This will operate on a first come first served basis, and will not guarantee entry.
